Saxy-M assisted her younger brother carrying his musical instruments to the local brassband. Eventually she ended up playing an instrument herself. It became the saxophone. After the brassband she studied at the conservatories of Hilversum and Utrecht, in the Netherlands, where she attended lessons from Henk van Twillert, André Hemmers, Marc Scholten, Frido ter Beek and Tom Beek. Saxy-M likes to play music which is recognizable. With her own project that is mostly (deep)house, playing with a DJ and live electronic instruments. Besides that she plays with several other projects, like Meggy Mae and Murat Hammond Quartet. She performed in Nashville USA, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy and Turkey.
